The Program

Psalm 23 Transition Society has 5 levels to its program.

Program Application Form (pdf)

House Guidelines Level 1 and 2 (pdf)

Level 1 is the Assessment / Introduction Phase, where residents come off the streets and work through a 30 - day program that will consist of educational, recovery and spiritual classes.
More
Level 2 is the Intensive Recovery Phase. Clients will enter this 90 - day program and learn how to deal with personal areas surrounding communication and listening skills, relationship building, denial, defense mechanisms, self awareness, shame, healing from personal abuse, anger management, personal affirmation and dysfunctional family patterns. Other areas include 12 step meetings, devotions, in house meetings, evening check-in sessions, Alpha course, Bible study and one-on-one counseling. Development of the individual’s life skills including: cooking, cleaning, home up-keep, work therapy and recreation activities are part of the individual’s participation and commitment to the program. In the third month, residents will participate in a 6-week educational / job readiness course offered by Triangle Resources, which is done off site.
More
Level 3 is the Life Planning Phase. Men pursue a school or a work track; this phase is 4 months in length. The residents will establish a relapse recovery plan with their counselor. The men will complete the Triangle Community Resource program and involve themselves with computer classes, preparing a resume, early discipleship classes, budget planning, and community outreach programs. Role Modeling is part of the individual’s participation and commitment to the program, as is providing positive supportive mentorship to new residents.
More
Level 4 is the Community Integration Phase, where the men learn to live life on life’s terms. As issues come up in the work force or their school studies they work out any issues in a positive, supportive environment. The men take on more responsibility in the community and ministry outreach events. At this stage men are in a position where they take discipleship classes, get involved as helpers in Alpha groups and share personal testimonies within our outreach events. From this stage the men would bridge back into our communities and their families. This phase is 3 months in length.
More
Level 5 is the Alumni/Discipleship Phase. The men are living back in the community and volunteer their time with Psalm 23 Transition Society. The main purpose in this phase is to provide the Alumni with continued accountability and support. The Alumni will hold Weekly Recovery meetings, monthly alumni meetings, planning outreach events and activities that can be shared with the men in Levels 1, 2, 3 & 4.
